New Information for Job Seekers in Abingdon

10.55.45am GMT Fri 20th Feb 2009

Abingdon County Councillor Lesley Legge urgently requested the Oxfordshire Economic Partnership to provide some information for people in Abingdon who are looking for jobs because of the economic recession. The new information sheet now provided by them tells people in Abingdon where they can go for information, advice and guidance.

This is available at the Town Council Offices and on the Abingdon Town Council's website (http://www.abingdon.gov.uk). Lesley has asked for it to be available also on the County Council's website and said, "I am pleased that help is now being offered to those residents in Abingdon who have been hit hard by the recession. We need to make sure that people are aware of this as soon as possible."

The Economic Partnership was so struck by Lesley's initiative that they are now to put together similar information for the other towns in Oxfordshire.
