Oxford results

The Liberal Democrats have held all their seats on the west of the City (in Oxford West and Abingdon constituency) - St Margaret's with a majority of nearly 400, Holywell with a majority of nearly 300, and North with a majority of 364. The Greens held Carfax with a majority of 33 over the Liberal Democrats, who were second. Lib Dem Leader, John Goddard, comfortably held his Wolvercote seat by over 400, and Jean Fooks held the Summertown seat. Labour held their one seat in this part of the City, Jericho and Osney. In Oxford East constituency, the Liberal Democrats have lost Cowley Marsh to Labour, but gained three other seats from Labour - Barton, Headington Hill and Northway and Cowley. The And Liberal Democrat David Rundle has held Headington with a huge majority of just under 700. The IWCA gained a seat from Labour, as did the Greens. The Conservatives failed to gain their first Oxford councillor for four years.
